Saying “I’ll follow you to the ends of the earth” carries addition weight for someone marrying into the Navy. What an honor it was to create a wedding film for this local couple who met in High School here in Kitsap County. Their joy for each other was evident from first minute of the day to their final sendoff of their wedding and their delight for one another was contagious for all who were attendance. In what was the most beautiful winter day that I can remember, these two gave their lives to one another and shared with everyone what made their love special and enviable.
Gold Mountain Golf Club is another of my personal favorite venues in Kitsap County because of the variety of beautiful landscapes that it offers. This place has lakes, trees, open fields and fairways, overlooks, and anything else you could want for a romantic Northwest spot. The wedding and reception took place in the Olympic Room, the first look was on the Terrace, and we shot the portrait session in the woods and at the nearby lake.
I hope you enjoy this film!! I smiled so much making it.

“For me, when everything goes wrong - that’s when the adventure starts.”
-Yvon Chouinard
The coolest moment of this rustic, intimate, beautiful wedding under the cedar and fir trees near Poulsbo, WA was when it started pouring rain. Luckily, mother nature held off until the ceremony was done and she waited until we had Jacob & Megan down by the water for a portrait session. Then she let loose. I should have known from their wild engagement in Iceland, that these two were up for it. Without skipping a beat we finished the portrait session and ventured back to the reception laughing and wet from head to toe. Marriage is an adventure, and this one started off perfectly for these two.
Big trees, beach front, and a historic cabins make Kitsap Memorial State Park one of my personal favorites for an ideal Pacific Northwest vibe. When Jacob & Megan decided to venture over from the east side of the sound to get married under the trees in Kitsap Memorial, I must admit I was super excited for the storybook backdrop for their wedding day. I hope that you enjoy their film as much as I enjoyed making it for them. Their love & joy seep through every frame.
What did you love about your wedding location(s)/venue(s)?
We loved that is was in the woods as well as on the water. It was far enough from the "main land" that people had to travel a bit but also not too far.
What memory from your wedding do you remember the most strongly? What part of the day had the most effect on you or your relationship?
(Megan) I remember our first look the most and when we finally walked down the isle and it was just us. I love that moment because it everything seemed to calm down and move in slow motion. I think it felt like the first moment of forever. That was a very cool feeling.
Funniest moment on your wedding day? Tell me all about it!
Funniest moment would probably be my (Megan) father's toast. I was expecting it to be special and it went over my expectations. He had everyone rolling over laughing. Mainly just a huge roast of me and Jacob but it was so wonderful.
Where did you go on your honeymoon? Why did you choose it?
We went to the Rivera Maya in Mexico. We wanted to so an all inclusive hotel for the longest amount of time. So Mexico was the best option and it was beautiful!
What advice would you give to future couples who are getting married?
Try not to focus on everyone else and just focus on you are your fiance. The day goes by so fast so that part doesn't really matter that much. It is really the times leading up to the event that matter the most.
:) Megan
